Debt Relief From Mounting Credit Card Bills

Do you stress out about finding debt relief from mounting credit card bills? Are you one of the millions of people looking for a job or barely hanging on to the one you have and juggling what paychecks you do get between bills? Hey tax time is almost here too, are you stressed out about tax season because you know that you owe taxes and you are trying to decide what credit card you are going to use to pay your taxes this year. The bills continue to build and the credit card companies continue to push out their offers to get more credit.

Perhaps you are one of those people like so many others out there that feel that getting the credit flowing again is the secret to getting people out of their debt problems. If I get more credit cards or loans I can consolidate my bills and get some debt relief, sound familiar? Of course it does this is the credit trap that has been woven through the conscience of society at large and deemed as the acceptable way of doing business.

I wonder with all this talk about getting the credit flowing again chatter in Washington as the way to get the economy moving forward again. Anyway what I wonder is if anyone has noticed that the main reason that so many people and so many countries are in this financial mess right now is because we are operating on a credit based system. Seriously does the idea of giving more credit access to people and governments seem like a good idea for debt relief or just a way to increase the amount of debt we have all managed to collect already.

I think we have all heard the stories or been the subject of the story about the people that use their credit cards to pay for their bills, credit cards to pay for other credit cards or better yet credit cards to pay for taxes. Where does this madness end is the question? For a lot of people it has already ended and these people although there are not many of them now there is a growing number of them out there. They are a group of people that actually live their lives pay their bills with no credit what so ever. They use this thing that people used to use back in the day, it’s called CASH!

This cash thing when you get control of it is actually quite a freeing experience. Now granted it may take a few years to ween yourself off the credit card addiction but it is possible and more and more people are doing it all the time. Everyday people that are fed up with the addictive and snowball nature of using credit cards and building up a mountain of debt. I can hardly find the words to describe the euphoria you will feel if you have spent your adult life living on credit cards and going from pay check to paycheck just to juggle all the mounting credit card debts that you built up over the years.

Take it from me as I spent the better part of my life living off of credit cards, going check to check and using credit cards to pay for credit cards. It’s a stressful game that will have no good end result for you other than a mountain of debt. It took us a lot of years to break that cycle of using credit cards and believe me when I tell you that it’s a nasty habit that is hard to break. Fast forward a little bit over a year and a half and we have managed to live credit card free with out our world catching on fire. The only lines of credit we have now are for our house and cars and we are working on paying those down as well.

Paying for stuff in cash takes some getting used to as well. Like when you pay for stuff in cash there is no “cash company” sending you mail telling you that you owe them cash for the money you spent buying that stuff. Also there is no interest rate bearing down on us threatening to raise it’s rate at the drop of a hat either ;-) It’s a scary thing living on cash and you know why it’s a scary thought in your head because the credit card companies have programmed us over the years that credit is the “easy” way to live and everyone is using it so why don’t you. After all more credit out there is more business for them and more mountains of debt for us
